Joseph Nganga - CEO
Starting his career in investment banking at Bank of America Global Corporation and Investment Banking Group in Charlotte, NC, Joseph Nganga is an experienced entrepreneur having founded and run successful companies in Kenya and the USA. He also sits on the Board of Queens University Alumni Association and Carolina for Kibera. Mr. Nganga received his BA in Finance and Marketing from Queens University of Charlotte and has attended an Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School on Governing for Non Profit Organizations.
Nina Maršálek graduated in International Business Administration, specializing on International Energy and Environmental Management at the University of Vienna, Austria, and is experienced in the renewable energy- and waste management sector. During her time at the Chair of industry, energy and environment of the University of Vienna, she worked on projects to analyse environmental policy regulations and the world energy situation. For an Austrian local government, Ms. Maršálek analysed the Austrian “green job”-landscape and its development in the coming years.
Carol Wacera - Solanterns Initiative Representative, Logistics
With her diploma in tourism and business studies, Carol Wacera already worked with local groups on environmental topics and oversaw a governmental forestation-project in her previous occupation. Carol Wacera is handling the logistics of the Solanterns Initiative and focuses on promoting solar lanterns in the ecotourism sector.
